A crispy almond biscuit that will leave you wanting more. Restores some health.

Biscuits is a healing item in Rule of Rose. They are one of the first healing items that the player can use to restore a small portion of Jennifer's health. The Biscuit Tin that the Biscuits were originally stored in can be used to find any other loose Biscuits scattered across the Airship.

Background[]

A "Biscuit," in British English, is a generic term used to refer to a "Cookie," which would be the equivalent term within American English. Hard, flat and unleavened, Biscuits can be eaten plain or with jam, chocolate, sugar, cinnamon, and other spices. They are best consumed at teatime as a snack to complement one's tea.

The Biscuits that Jennifer encounters early on at Sector 9 Turbine Area in "The Unlucky Cloverfield," when examined by the player in the Inventory screen, are described as having a crispy texture and containing almonds. The taste is said to be delectable enough to warrant someone wanting more of it. These cookies were originally the individual units of a Biscuit Tin that Jennifer will also encounter in the same chapter.

Characteristics[]

As the first healing item that the player will encounter during their playthrough, the Biscuit fulfills its purpose introducing the in-game tutorial of the Search System in "Unlucky Cloverfield." The low healing potency and large number during that chapter are intended to encourage the player to explore the environment with Brown and stockpile more of them in either Jennifer's Inventory or the Rubbish Bin.

Their overall healing potency is on par with the Candy and become replaced by other healing items after "Unlucky Cloverfield." Since Jennifer's inventory can only hold twelve items at a time, the player should either use them while fighting the Imps later in that chapter or store them inside a Rubbish Bin. Aside from its potential as a healing item, the player should consider assigning one to the Search Slot from the Inventory Screen and issue a Search Command for Brown. The player will be able to uncover Ribbons, Bacon, and Broken Robots with it in the Airship chapters.
